Aquifer Energy is run and owned by Lawrence Scott, a well known and highly regarded name in the ground source and water resource industry.
Lawrence spent 10 years developing his unique skill set at Carbon Zero Consulting, and has taken that skillset to Aquifer Energy.

Lawrence has a strong consulting background working on some of the UKs biggest ground source heating projects, taking projects from initial stage RIBA feasibility, designing the closed or open loop borehole solution, writing, and technically reviewing the tender, onsite drilling supervision and field services such as Test Pumping and Thermal Response Testing through to completing all regulatory requirements for the Environment Agency, SEPA or NRW.
Lawrence is one of the most experienced Thermal Response Testers in the UK and has seen responses from across the country and beyond. No location is inaccessible or too far.
Lawrence's contacts and the associates that he works with in Aquifer Energy enable the perfect solution to all aspects of a project, from start to finish.

Steve spent the first 20 years of his career in the oil, gas and geothermal space as a wellsite geologist, operations geologist and ultimately geoscience manager, working on and leading exploration and development drilling campaigns across the world.
Steve pivoted to water resources and shallow geothermal when he obtained his MSc in Hydrogeology from Birmingham University and brings the same hard work and attention to detail that served him well during his early career. Steve is now the second best Thermal Response Tester in the country (after Lawrence).
